RUMOR: Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival releasing on November 13th for $59.99, additional launch and pricing details

While the press release Nintendo sent out earlier today including new Animal Crossing details didn’t say much about Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival, it appears a slightly different version was available on Nintendo.com at some point today according to Google cache, with further details on the game.

According to the information, Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival will be launching on November 13th in North America exclusively in the form of a $60 retail bundle which includes Isabelle, Digby, three amiibo cards, and the game.

The additional characters K.K. Slider, Reese, and Cyrus will be available in a $35 three-pack bundle. Finally, the characters Tom Nook, Mabel, and Lottie will be available separately at $13 each.

This would appear to rule out any previous rumors that Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival would be available as a free-to-play download title, and also suggest that you must purchase the three-pack bundle to obtain K.K. Slider, Reese, or Cyrus, with no individual packages available in North America.

Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival launches Nov. 13 at a suggested retail price of $59.99. The game will be sold only as a bundle that also includes two Animal Crossing amiibo figures (Isabelle and Digby) and three amiibo cards. A 3-pack containing amiibo figures of Animal Crossing characters K.K. Slider, Reese and Cyrus can also be purchased on Nov. 13 at a suggested retail price of $34.99. Outside of the game bundle and 3-pack, amiibo figures based on Tom Nook, Mable and Lottie can be purchased separately at a suggested retail price of $12.99 each.

…but has since been removed from the live version:

We’re not sure of the reason why it was removed. It could be an error in the information, or it just wasn’t meant to be released yet. For that reason, we’re still marking this a rumor for now regardless of the seemingly official source, just to be sure. Stay tuned for updates soon.
