Animal Crossing Mobile Nintendo Direct coming on Tuesday, October 24th

After over a year of anticipation, Nintendo has finally announced a new Nintendo Direct broadcast dedicated to showcasing the upcoming Animal Crossing mobile game for smartphones and tablets in detail.

The Nintendo Direct presentation will be broadcast in the evening on Tuesday, October 24th at 8:00PM Pacific Time or 11:00PM Eastern Time.

First announced a full year and a half ago back in April 2016, the Animal Crossing for mobile has been long anticipated with little information provided. After a series of delays in the release since the original announcement, we’re hopeful that the wait has been worth it and made for a much better game. It’s likely Nintendo will be putting everything important they’ve learned from Fire Emblem Heroes and Super Mario Run into this one.

The presentation will be approximately 15 minutes long and will focus solely on covering the Animal Crossing smartphone application. Nintendo specifically rules out the inclusion of information on Animal Crossing for Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo Switch.

We’ll have a livestream of the Nintendo Direct available right here on the site when the times comes, or you can head over to Nintendo’s website and YouTube/Twitch channels. As always, you can find all of the biggest news from the Direct afterwards here at Animal Crossing World in case you can’t watch it live!

So excited yes, finally! A bit boohoo about the no Switch information though.. wondering if it ever will happen? :'(

I really hope it will only require a one-time payment. I’m so sick of microtransactions. I really like Super Mario Run with its demo mode, requiring you to pay once and then shutting up about it.
