Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards are collector’s trading cards with amiibo functionality from Nintendo for use with the new Animal Crossing: New Leaf Welcome amiibo update, as well as the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival spin-off games.

The cards are available in random blind packs of 6 in North America, and 3 in Europe. One special character card is guaranteed in each pack.

Five series of Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards have been announced. The main four series contain a total of 100 cards each, with 17 special characters and 83 regular villagers, and are available worldwide. These cards are compatible with all three modern Animal Crossing games.

The fifth series titled Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo contains 50 villager cards, who are returning characters from previous Animal Crossing series, and are brand new to Animal Crossing: New Leaf. • Kosten die etwas? Wenn ja wieviel? 🙂

  • Truffle

    @Roland15:disqus

    Kein Antwort aus Nintendo. Aber ich glaube die kosten ein Euro oder mehr (jeden Karte).

  • Johnny LoveFive

    Cards and game hit the world summer, 2015 (Japan obviously), and likely not to be region locked, so get out there, learn Japanese if nihongo o wakarimasen, import a Japanese New 3DS (or XL), import the cards, and the game, and enjoy every last second of it!

  • Mari

    What do the symbols on the card mean?

    • Cellsai

      Going clockwise from top left:

      Species.
      Card Number.
      Rock Paper Scissors value.
      Dice roll value.

      The last two are probably used in amiibo Festival.

      • Oh, I just figured they’re there to provide another way to play with the cards. Like a “war” card game where you each flip a card… RPS wins, and in a tie, highest die roll value wins. {shrug}

        • Cellsai

          You can use em that way if you want, of course 🙂
