Stunning New Blue Nintendo Switch Lite Console Releases This May Worldwide

An absolutely stunning new Blue color scheme for the Nintendo Switch Lite system has just been announced by Nintendo for launch around the world soon!

Planned for release on May 21st in North America and May 7th in Europe, this incredible new Nintendo Switch Lite model boasts a gorgeous new blue design costing $199.99 USD or $259.99 CAD.

In fact, the new blue Nintendo Switch design is oddly reminiscent of the classic Purple GameCube or Indigo Game Boy Advance schemes from back in the day, surely pleasing some fans.

This model will fill a nice gap in the color line-up too with most of the previously available options like Yellow, Aqua, and Coral Pink taking up the more bright end of the spectrum, besides the not-so-great Grey color scheme.

If you already own a Nintendo Switch and this new color option is catching your attention as an Animal Crossing fan, it’s worth noting that picking up a new Nintendo Switch Lite would allow you to create a new secondary island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons — something that is otherwise not possible with a single console.

With the game’s recent first-year anniversary last month, now could be just about the right time for some fans to be interested in starting up a second island — at quite the hefty cost, of course. Certainly more affordable than a traditional Nintendo Switch though!

For those who are not familiar already, the Nintendo Switch Lite serves as a smaller, more portable, and affordable alternative to the regular model. While the system lacks HD Rumble and an ability to dock on a TV, it’s still plenty capable of playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

The upcoming remake of Miitopia, an adventure game starring Miis, is also set for release in North America on May 21st at the same time as this new console.
