Server maintenance has been announced by Nintendo taking place in Animal Crossing: New Horizons tonight once again coming a few weeks after the major Version 2.0 Update launched!

We received an in-game Nintendo Switch notification while playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons alerting us of the incoming maintenance set to begin at 4:55PM Pacific Time / 7:55PM Eastern Time.

More complete details of the maintenance can be found on the official Network Maintenance Information / Operational Status page on Nintendo’s official website, which we’ll cover below.

According to the status page, both Animal Crossing: New Horizons network services and the NookLink service within the Nintendo Switch Online mobile application will be offline to perform maintenance for around two hours beginning at 4:55PM Pacific Time / 7:55PM Eastern Time and ending at 6:00PM Pacific Time / 9:00PM Eastern Time.

Tonight’s scheduled maintenance comes about three weeks after the Version 2.0 Update launched unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 3rd earlier in the month!

Since Nintendo has already released two previous bug fix patches in recent weeks to address various problems with Version 2.0.1 and Version 2.0.2, we do believe today’s maintenance might bring yet another update as the developers continue to fix important issues that Version 2.0 introduced.

UPDATE: As expected, a new Version 2.0.3 Update has been released by Nintendo tonight primarily focused on fixing a duplication glitch — learn more here!

Keep in mind that you should expect any such release to be a relatively low key bug fix focused update. Don’t expect any kind of new major content, because Nintendo would announce that in advance, plus we’ve been told that major new content for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has come to an end.
