Shops & Buildings Unlock Guide

When your first start Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, your island is rather barren with few structures. As you progress, you can unlock new buildings, editing tools, and increase the number of Mii residents that can live on your island.
Buildings & Facilities
Fresh Kingdom Food Mart
The Fresh Kingdom Food Mart is the first shop after creating your island’s first Mii.
At this shop, you can buy hundreds of different food items for your Miis to eat and help level them up. Initially, the market only carries a select number of foods that are familiar to your selected region, but eventually opens up to sell all foods.
Wishing Fountain
The Wishing Fountain is a central building that appears after you’ve leveled up your island’s first Mii.
At the Wishing Fountain, you can deposit your Warm Fuzzies earned from interacting with Miis to level up the fountain and earn Wishes. Spend these wishes to unlock new goods, little quirks, decorations, blocks, homes, travel tickets, and more.
Additionally, once per day, you can collect money donations from the fountain!
Where & Wear Clothing Shop
The Where & Wear clothing shop is your island’s third building unlocked after creating three Miis and speaking to a Mii with a yellow bubble showing interest in fashion.
At Where & Wear, you can check out and purchase new outfits for your Miis to wear! Each day, check in to view new clothes under the Daily Specials tab.
T&C Reno Home Supply
The T&C Reno home supply shop is the next facility built on your island after four Miis have moved onto your island and there are at least two sets of friends among them. Look out for a Mii’s yellow bubble request.
At T&C Reno, you can decorate your Mii’s homes on the island by purchasing Interior sets from the shop. Unlike games like Animal Crossing, you can’t individually decorate with furniture, but select from entire decorated interiors.
Quik Build Amenities Shop
The Quik Build amenities shop is your island’s fifth building unlocked after creating five Miis and speaking to a Mii with a yellow bubble requesting a bench.
At Quik Build, you can begin purchasing outdoor decorations to place around your island’s land including benches, streetlights, vending machines, flowers, hedges, and more!
Palette House Workshop
The Palette House workshop can be your island’s sixth or seventh building unlocked after you’ve created seven Miis on your island and spoken to a Mii with a yellow bubble requesting a homemade meal. The News Station can be built around a similar time.
At Palette House, you can design and create custom versions of various items including food, clothing, treasures, interior sets, decoration objects, and landscaping using drawn patterns. Food is available immediately. Clothing, treasures, and island landscaping can be unlocked at the Wishing Fountain. House interiors, exteriors, and decoration objects require a Wishing Fountain level of 10 to unlock.
News Station
The News Station building can be your island’s sixth or seventh building unlocked sometime after you’ve created seven Miis on your island. The Palette House can be built around a similar time.
At the News Station, you can watch a daily news clip each day by heading into the building or replay and save past news broadcasts. Occasional newscasts appear before unlocking this building for major events, but the News Station lets you watch news every day.
