Social sharing features detailed in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer

The fourth and presumably final section of the Japanese website for Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer has opened up today detailing the social sharing features in the game.

As previously shown in other videos, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer encourages players to take plenty of screenshot photos while they play the game, especially during the sequence played after completing a home showing the character touring and using their new home. Of course, Nintendo has built included sharing tools into the game to share these photos and other screenshots taken.

Unlike Animal Crossing: New Leaf which released before Miiverse’s time, Happy Home Designer is ready with Miiverse sharing built in right to the game. There’s no need to open up the HOME Menu and head to Miiverse to post a photo, you can share straight from inside the game now, and even include a drawing from the same screen as shown below. Reportedly, this works with both the original Nintendo 3DS systems as well as the New Nintendo 3DS.

Of course, you can also share to Twitter and Facebook using the existing Nintendo 3DS Image Share service which has been used frequently with Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Although not mentioned on the website, I believe there will be an easy shortcut in-game for this sharing as well, check out this screenshot below from last weekend’s Hyper Japan video demonstration.

Icons can be clearly seen in the top left for not only Miiverse as we’ve already explained, but the Nintendo 3DS Image Share service. So whether you’re sharing to Miiverse, or Twitter/Facebook through Image Share, it’s definitely going to be a lot faster and easier to do so in Happy Home Designer than New Leaf.

That just about covers everything from the latest Japanese website update. With all four main sections open now, and just under 2 weeks to go until the launch, we’re expecting the next set of Animal Crossing amiibo Cards to be announced any day now. Stay tuned for that soon! Thanks to Perfectly Nintendo for translating this information.
