Animal Crossing: New Leaf stage (Tortimer’s Island) revealed in Super Smash Bros. 4

Looks like Animal Crossing is getting more recognition in other Nintendo games! After the easter egg appearance in last month, Nintendo has shared pictures of a new Animal Crossing: New Leaf stage in  Read more below:

The stage is called Tortimer’s Island and it’s a new stage in the Nintendo 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. 4 releasing later this year! It’s clearly based on the tropical island from Animal Crossing: New Leaf featuring the New Leaf art style of trees and bushes.

It looks like you’ll also find Kapp’n on the stage to the left by the dock according to another screenshot with him and Donkey Kong. He looks hungry for the food!

Finally, another fun feature of the stage is that the game will pick a new random layout for the island every time you play! Hopefully this will keep the stage fresh to play over and over! Here’s the post on Miiverse by Sakurai if you’d like to see yourself.

Any thoughts on this new stage? Personally, I’m always happy to see Animal Crossing getting more appearances. It’s pretty awesome to see Animal Crossing getting multiple stages. (remember, on the Wii U version, there’s a stage based on City Folk) Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
