Animal Crossing new 3DS Cover Plates on their way to Europe this October alongside Happy Home Designer

Three Animal Crossing themed cover plates for the new Nintendo 3DS system are coming to Europe on October 2nd, alongside the release of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer.

The cute cover plates can be swapped onto the new Nintendo 3DS systems to give your system a new look, but not on the XL version. Two of these plates in particular actually launched last year in Japan, as we previously covered. The third plate is completely new and hasn’t seen release in Japan yet.

Of course, these won’t be coming to North America given that the region has yet to even see the release of the regular new 3DS console itself. The new Nintendo 3DS XL version is the only edition released in North America so far, despite much clamoring from fans for the regular new 3DS to be released.

And maybe, if these cover plates sell well enough, we’ll see the release of the other Animal Crossing plates from Japan such as the ones pictured above. I’m quite a fan of the one with Timmy and Tommy! Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer releases on October 2nd in Europe, September 25th in North America, and July 30th in Japan.
