Hail to your new leader: King Tom Nook in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer

What on earth is this? An interesting character from Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer has popped up today…

We’re not entirely sure of the details yet, but a King Tom Nook character has been found in a compilation of ripped character sprites from the files of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. Or at least… that’s our best guess.

Whatever this mysterious great leader version of Tom Nook is, we’ll find out soon enough hopefully. Perhaps you’ll be able to pick up a King Tom Nook Amiibo Card later this year? I’ll take ten please.

That’s not the only insight we’re gaining from the sprites either, there’s evidence in the files indicating multiple classic Animal Crossing villagers returning from the Gamecube in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer as well.
