Nintendo UK emailing out ‘Photos with Animal Crossing’ download codes, check your inbox

We’re seeing reports of folks from the United Kingdom receiving emails from Nintendo with download codes for the Photos with Animal Crossing app on the Nintendo eShop today.

Photos with Animal Crossing is a fun little application on the Nintendo 3DS which uses the AR Cards scanning feature of the system to bring Animal Crossing characters to life. Yeah, remember those cards you got with your 3DS and never looked at again?

The application was originally released in Japan back in 2013, but was recently localized for Europe where Nintendo has recently distributed the Animal Crossing AR Cards and download codes for the game through various exclusive events in Europe.

Now it looks like download codes for the game are simply being sent out through their email mailing list, alongside images of the cards to print. We don’t know the full details, but presumably if you have a Nintendo Network ID and have allowed emails to be sent to you, then you’ll find it in your inbox soon enough.

We think that all of Europe will be receiving these emails, but we only have confirmation from the United Kingdom right now. If you’re from anywhere else and receive one of these emails, please let us know in the comments below! Perhaps Nintendo of America will join in on the fun soon as well.
