Join us as we kick off a new weekly recurring post today on Animal Crossing World!

Starting today, and continuing every Saturday for the next two months (and possibly beyond pending interest), we’ll ask you a new Animal Crossing question in our weekly poll on the side of the page, and in a weekly post like this one giving more detail to the poll. Further discussion in the comments is heavily encouraged as well.

Today’s question is about the two main forms of gameplay in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer: Designing the homes of your villagers and special characters, and bringing the main town to life by designing the various public facilities.

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, I knew many people who created multiple characters to create many different homes themed to hotels, movie theatres, diners, and more. The public facilities in Happy Home Designer are sure to scratch that itch with buildings such as a hotel, a hospital, a corner store, and a restaurant.

As for myself, I’m far more interested in designing the homes of my favourite characters to their requests. The public facilities don’t particularly interest me, but I’m sure they’ll be great for players who would enjoy a sort of roleplay with their favorite characters.
