Hori Animal Crossing: New Horizons case accessories announced for North America and Europe

We’ve seen plenty of amazing Animal Crossing: New Horizons accessories announced for release in Japan, but today we have our very first accessories for North America and Europe!

Hori has announced a pair of new officially licensed Animal Crossing: New Horizons accessories for the Nintendo Switch set to be released in both North America and Europe soon, including a storage vault case and a semi-flexible protection case.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons DuraFlexi Protector for Nintendo Switch Lite

First up, you’ll probably recognize the Animal Crossing: New Horizons DuraFlexi Protector for Nintendo Switch Lite as it’s actually a re-named version of the TPU Semi-Hard Cover we saw announced for release in Japan a few weeks ago.

Like the names say, it’s a protective case for your Switch Lite made of a semi-flexible material guarding the system from dirt, scratch, and general wear.

As for looks, the DuraFlexi Protector features the gorgeous new ‘Poptart’-like pattern with various Animal Crossing icons like houses, tents, palm trees, trees, leaves, and more! This case will be a great way to decorate your Switch Lite if a special edition console isn’t released.

This should be a pretty solid quality protection case on top of looking good, judging by its similarity to another DuraFlexi Protector by Hori on Amazon that boasts a 4.8-star rating.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Vault Case for Nintendo Switch

Secondly, we have an Animal Crossing: New Horizons Vault Case for both the regular Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite. Unlike the DuraFlexi Protector that directly wraps around your system, the Vault Case is more of a storage bag for bringing around your Switch on the go.

In addition to holding either a regular Switch or Switch Lite, the Vault Case also holds up to 10 game cards and has a mesh pouch for storing your charging cord or other accessories.

For the design, the Vault Case features a large spread of Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ official artwork across the front and a light-blue color fabric elsewhere. On the inside, you’ll find a mint-green color scheme with a lovely pattern on the top behind the mesh net.

Finally, there’s a pretty nice set of Leaf charms on the case’s zippers, like we’ve seen on some other Animal Crossing cases!

Unfortunately, the other five Animal Crossing: New Horizons accessories we saw from Hori in Japan were not included in this announcement, so we think this is probably the nail in the coffin for an international release of those. You’ll likely have to place an import order to get them — check both and Amazon Japan here for the best import options.

Regardless, we’re super happy to see the Animal Crossing TPU Cover for Switch Lite releasing overseas and the Vault Case is a nice bonus too! It’s good to know there will be some quality options available without needing to import from Japan.
