New Pokémon Direct presentation coming on Thursday morning

Nintendo has announced a surprise new Pokémon Direct presentation for Thursday morning, signalling that we’ll be waiting until at least next week for the next long awaited Nintendo Direct.

While it’s not directly Animal Crossing: New Horizons news, the Pokémon series is pretty popular among Animal Crossing fans too, so I thought it would be worth sharing the news anyway.

Rumors and fan expectations have been swirling lately for a new general Nintendo Direct for a little while now too, partly in anticipation of Animal Crossing news coming in such an event. It certainly looks like that’s out of question for this week though with today’s news.

As for exactly what will be shown in this Pokémon Direct, the company hasn’t released any specific details. It’s coming quite early in the year and very shortly after the release of Pokémon Sword & Shield this past November.

The expected length of this Pokémon presentation is quite long though, at roughly 20 minutes in length it far exceeds the average for past Pokémon Directs! Perhaps this is a sign of something big coming.
