Reggie Fils-Aime Says He Would ‘Never’ Time Travel In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The debate over Time Traveling in Animal Crossing: New Horizons has just had a fresh dose of fuel added to the fire thanks to a new tweet from former Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime!

In response to a question by a fan on Twitter about whether he time travels, the former Nintendo of America president responded with a quick and simple answer right to the point saying ‘Never!!’.

While we doubt that Reggie has any particularly strong feelings on the matter, some Animal Crossing fans will certainly find it interesting to find out where he stands on this hot button issue surrounding New Horizons lately.

The topic of Time Traveling in the Animal Crossing series has always been a hot discussion ever since the beginning of the series, but it feels as if the debate has taken on a whole new level of hostility with the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

There’s a lot of possible explanations for this, but we think one aspect is simply the heightened world of social media that we live with now in the year 2020. It was a lot harder with past titles to be aware of what others were doing and their day-by-day progress in the game, meaning that those who don’t like time traveling were more oblivious to its prominence.

This works in both directions too as those who like to time travel in Animal Crossing and share their experiences doing so on social media find themselves attracting far more attention than before. As we all know, there’s plenty of unnecessary hostility on the internet, so it’s not too big of a surprise that this happens.
