It’s Winter now and today we’ve got detailed information on a brand new feature in Animal Crossing: New Leaf! What’s that feature? The picture above should give a hint! =O If you consider details to be spoilers, do not read or click below here!

2020 UPDATE: Looking for Animal Crossing: New Horizons information? Check out our Winter Snowflake & Snowboy DIY Recipe List (Frozen / Ice Set) Guide here.

During Winter in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, when it snows special snowflakes will fall with a sound effect occasionally. You’ll want to get your net out quickly and try to catch the snowflake to store in your inventory! (because snowflakes totally wouldn’t melt in your pockets… oh Nintendo)

Once you have some snowflakes, you’re going to need to make a Snowman. Not just any Snowman though, you need a Mother Snowman. Yes, there’s a family now. Each of these different types of Snowman will help you in different ways.

Now that you have a Mother Snowman built, you will be able to exchange your snowflakes to her for a piece of the Ice Series. What’s the Ice Series? Look no further than below:

Isn’t it beautiful? If you collect enough snowflakes over the course of Winter and exchange them, you’ll have the full Ice Series! And yes, the old Snowman Series is still in the game through a different member of the Snowman family.
