New Nintendo 3DS XL Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Edition comes to Europe on October 2nd

Nintendo of Europe has announced the awaited special edition new Nintendo 3DS XL for Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer previously announced in Japan is coming to Europe as well.

The new Nintendo 3DS XL Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Edition is a unique special edition new Nintendo 3DS XL system themed to Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer featuring a pattern of different Animal Crossing furniture icons like the Apple TV, similarly to the one released back in June 2013 with Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

The bundle includes the white Animal Crossing new Nintendo 3DS XL themed system, a digital copy of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer pre-installed on the 4GB microSD card, and a special Animal Crossing amiibo Card. Remember that the new Nintendo 3DS systems include built-in NFC reader/writer functionality which enables the use of amiibo, unlike the regular 3DS systems which require a separate reader.

You’ll be able to pick up the system alongside Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer‘s release on October 2nd. Pre-orders are now available in the UK at:

UPDATE: Nintendo of America has announced a Happy Home Designer 3DS bundle for the regular sized 3DS model. Pre-order from GameStop in the US, and Amazon or Best Buy in Canada.

Nintendo of America has yet to announce this Nintendo 3DS system at this time. The special edition Nintendo 3DS XL created for Animal Crossing: New Leaf back in 2013 did make it to both Europe and North America, so there’s a solid chance. Fingers crossed!
