Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival releasing in Japan on November 21st, speculation on overseas release date

In the newly released Japanese overview trailer for Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival, a release date for the game has finally been revealed for Japan, and we’ve got some juicy speculation on the overseas release date.

Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival will launch in Japan on November 21st, but what about the rest of the world? That’s on a Saturday, which would perfectly align with a corresponding Friday release date of November 20th overseas.

Both Star Fox Zero and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash were previously announced to release on November 20th for Europe back in August. Star Fox Zero has since been delayed into next year, so it seems likely that Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival could be taking over Star Fox Zero’s release slot, at least in Europe.

It’s worth noting as well that Nintendo of America just announced a North American release date of November 20th for Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash yesterday aligning with the previously announced release date for Europe.

Another possibility is the Friday before, November 13th, in North America as back in August we spotted that possible date in a different version of a press release originally published before removing the date. We reported on that as a rumor then if you want to check it out here.

Based on all of this information, it looks like Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival will see release on either November 13th or November 20th overseas, but it’s still all speculation right now. Stay tuned for more information soon on the game, and check out the Japanese Overview Trailer here if you haven’t yet.
