Animal Crossing Digby amiibo figure coming to North America in individual form

In today’s amiibo press release, Nintendo of America announced that the Animal Crossing Digby amiibo figure is coming standalone in March.

Digby’s amiibo figure was previously released exclusively in the Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival bundle, at least in the North American market. If you were interested in Digby, you had no choice but to purchase amiibo Festival, but soon you’ll be able to pick him up standalone.

While he’s coming to North America in March, we’re not sure if Digby is coming on March 18th specifically, or just sometime in March. The press release isn’t entirely clear, as you can read below, so we’ve reached out to Nintendo for comment. We can confirm that Digby will be available on March 18th with the other figures.

On March 18, new amiibo figures in the Animal Crossing series will launch in stores, including characters like Timmy & Tommy, Kapp’n and Rover. Digby will also be made available as a stand-alone amiibo.

Oddly enough, there’s no mention of Digby’s sister Isabelle figure included with him in Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival’s bundle. Even stranger, we actually spotted a CPSIA Ceritifcate from Nintendo confirming an individual Isabelle release all the way back in November, but not a Digby one. Huh.
