Japanese Nintendo magazine readers vote Isabelle as best sightseeing guide

If you were traveling to a foreign country and wanted to take a sightseeing tour around the area, who would you pick as your personal tour guide?

According to the readers of Japanese magazine Nintendo DREAM this week, they’d definitely pick Isabelle as their sightseeing tour guide! After being asked who would be the best sightseeing guide of all characters, she topped out the list easily.

Clearly judging by this poll, Nintendo fans in Japan remain very hyped up on Animal Crossing after previously rating Animal Crossing: New Horizons as their most wanted Nintendo Switch game earlier this year.

Here’s the full rankings from the magazine, including the runner-ups Mario, Toad, and Navi. Going by the points though, the competition weren’t even slightly close!

1. Isabelle (Animal Crossing) – 96pt
2. Mario (Super Mario) – 48pt
3. Toad (Super Mario) – 26pt
4. Navi (The Legend of Zelda) – 20pt
5. Kirby (Kirby) – 18pt
6. Anna (Fire Emblem) – 14pt
7. Toriel (UNDERTALE)
8. Sans (UNDERTALE)
9. Zelda (The Legend of Zelda)
10. Link (The Legend of Zelda)

We’d still take Tom Nook personally but it’s hard to argue with Isabelle as a solid choice too. Do you agree with their asssesment?

Next week, Nintendo DREAM will hold a vote on which character would make the best doctor. Not sure how Isabelle will fare on that one though… Dr. Mario probably has it in the bag!
