NEW Animal Crossing: New Horizons Commercial, Key Artwork, and Box Art released!

Happy New Year everyone! We’ve got more than one reason to celebrate the new year today as Nintendo releases a brand new TV commercial for Animal Crossing: New Horizons alongside some key artwork and the official box art.

First up, the company rang in the new year with a new Animal Crossing: New Horizons commercial that began airing on Japanese TV today. In this new video, Tom Nook and the Nooklings are holding a presentation with many villagers in attendance (including Isabelle!) to show off the new Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway Package!

The presentation shows off all of the perks of moving to this new deserted island to entice the villagers’ arrival, including every aspect of deserted island life. Plus, see their reactions to the presentation, like what they think about chopping down a tree!

At the end of the commercial, we can also spot the complete official box art for the game on the end card screen! It’s shown in the video below, but here’s a cropped and enlarged version of the Japanese box art for Animal Crossing: New Horizons below:

We don’t have any visuals for the North America or Europe box art yet, but it’s pretty safe to assume they’ll be nearly the same with the English Animal Crossing logo instead. Although the English logo is much larger square-like shape, so they might have to make some small adjustments to avoid covering any key characters like Isabelle.

Finally, we actually have a full-size version of the lovely ‘key’ artwork that this box art is composed from! Check the art out in all its amazing glory below, click on it for the largest version we have:

While this artwork is available at a fairly large size, it’s not quite as huge as we’d like to see. Nintendo does tend to eventually release these in press kits at an obscenely large size though, so we’ll keep you posted for that.

In the meantime there’s plenty of new details to discover about Animal Crossing: New Horizons inside this artwork, so be sure to take a moment and give it a good look!

We’ll have a more complete analysis article going up later with every new detail, but for the basics, we can see Isabelle for the very first time in New Horizons! The mysterious character running Dodo Airlines finally appears for the first time too, not to mention what looks like a new relative of Chip!
