A new series of officially licensed Animal Crossing: New Horizons accessories from Hori have been announced for release in Japan!
This series of six official Animal Crossing: New Horizons accessories includes a semi-hard cover for the Switch Lite, a playstand for any Switch, a hand bag pouch for any Switch, a shoulder bag for any Switch, a tote bag, and a storage bag with slots for an entire Switch system plus accessories.
03/13 UPDATE: Some of these lovely accessories from Hori have finally returned in-stock after selling out for two months! In particular the Hand Bag Pouch, Whole Storage Bag, and TPU Semi-Hard Cover are back in stock as of publishing time. Shoulder Bag Pouch was re-stocked yesterday, but is no longer available.
All of these new items feature a new pattern design similar to the old ‘Poptart’ design of the New Leaf 3DS XL, but with a new more modern feel. Let’s go over every item individually below with photos and details…
Animal Crossing: New Horizons TPU Semi-Hard Cover for Nintendo Switch Lite
Made specifically just for the Nintendo Switch Lite model, this accessory is a fairly basic yet effective semi-hard case cover to protect your system. Like most of these accessories, it features a new ‘poptart’ pattern design on the back, with a white border visible on the front.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Hand Bag Pouch for Nintendo Switch
For both the regular Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch Lite, this hand pouch accessory is the perfect minimal bag to store your system in for playing Animal Crossing on the go. The item pattern is present on both sides of the pouch and one of the zippers is nicely decorated with a leaf handle.
Inside the bag, you’ll find a smaller pouch made just for the Lite model, while the larger original Switch will fit inside the entire bag. On the outside with the leaf zipper, there’s an extra external pocket for storing earbuds or something else small.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Shoulder Bag Pouch for Nintendo Switch
Those looking for a bit of larger bag to carry their Nintendo Switch will want to consider this shoulder bag pouch accessory. Designed for going over your shoulder, the bag also features way more space so you can carry more than just your Nintendo Switch inside.
Like the hand pouch, it’s designed for both the regular Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch Lite with separate sections designed for each. So you can place your system in the respective pouch, and then use the other unused section for everything else you want to carry, like an extra battery pack!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Whole Storage Bag for Nintendo Switch
The last of the various bag accessories available, this Whole Storage Bag is designed to carry absolutely everything related to your Nintendo Switch as you’d expect from the name.
It can hold the entire package: your Nintendo Switch unit, the TV dock, a Joy-Con Grip, the AC adapter, the TV HDMI cable, and more all in one single storage bag.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Playstand for Nintendo Switch
For those long gameplay sessions decorating your deserted island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the Animal Crossing Playstand might be just what you need! This foldable accessory helps you easily keep your Nintendo Switch of any model propped up at an ideal viewing angle and easily chargeable.
Three different stages of viewing angle are available and charging is far more achievable than without a stand as the charging port for the Nintendo Switch is at the bottom of the system.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Tote Bag for Nintendo Switch
Last but absolutely not least, we have an officially licensed Tote Bag that has been specifically designed for carrying your Nintendo Switch of either version. This seems to be a pretty well made tote bag too as there is actually a zipper with a Leaf handle at the top to enclose it instead of simply being open-air.
And inside of the tote bag, you’ll find two special pockets designed to carry either the Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite. Even if you don’t want to use this bag for carrying your Switch though, it could make an excellent alternative to the Tote Bag pre-order bonus from GAME.
Many officially licensed accessories from Hori are released overseas in North America and Europe, so we think there’s a good chance these will make it over! In case they don’t though, we have confirmed that all six accessories can be shipped overseas from Amazon Japan if you’re willing to pay.
