It’s been a long while since we’ve had a “traditional” Nintendo Direct covering a range of upcoming titles on both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. The recent Nintendo Direct broadcasts in recent months have chosen to focus solely on a single particular game instead of the entire lineup.

This traditional Nintendo Direct is coming back tomorrow though! On Wednesday, November 5th at 2PM Pacific / 5PM Eastern / 10PM GMT, Nintendo is broadcasting a brand new Nintendo Direct providing updates on upcoming games for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

It’s been said that this Direct will discuss “software releasing by the end of this year, while looking ahead to 2015.” (that’s their wording, not mine!) As always, you can catch the broadcast over at either Nintendo.com for the NA stream, or Nintendo.co.uk for the EU stream. Or if you’re feeling special, head over to Nintendo.co.jp for the Japanese stream.

You might be wondering why I’m covering this Direct on the blog after having ignored them on here for the past year and a half. This is just my personal speculation, so please do not take this to be mean anything or a confirmation of any kind, but I am expecting an announcement of the next Animal Crossing title fairly soon.

Looking at the facts, it’s been two years now since Animal Crossing: New Leaf first launched in Japan back in 2012, Nintendo has started to exhaust their typical expected franchise announcements on the Wii U (Mario, Zelda, Yoshi, Smash, Pikmin, Mario Kart), and finally the Animal Crossing Plaza companion application on the Wii U is scheduled to close down by the end of this year.

So while you should never expect it, it wouldn’t be a complete surprise to me to see some sort of Animal Crossing announcement during the Direct tomorrow! Feel free to speculate away with me in the comments below. 🙂 Also, a Fantasy Life article should be going up later today or early tomorrow morning!
