Check out the winners of our Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Halloween Design Contest and the amazing entries they cooked up in the game!

We asked our Canadian readers last month to design their best spooky Halloween room in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer for a chance to win free Animal Crossing amiibo card packs from Nintendo. Well, they certainly delivered some amazing results, so without further ado, check out the our top five favourites below! (entries are ordered by the results of our public community poll)

First Place by Scootaloo

In first place, we have Scootaloo’s bloody entry titled The Killager. Those poor, sweet, innocent villagers… at least they got a nice coffin, eh? Scoootaloo has eight packs of Animal Crossing amiibo cards heading their way!

You can check it out yourself in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer by entering the project number 0996-7779-913 using the Happy Home Network. Find it on Miiverse here.

Second Place by Jess

Our runner-up in second place is the Halloween Party design created by Jess. They really captured the feel of a Halloween party in this entry with everything in the room. Find it on Miiverse here.

Jess has three packs of Animal Crossing amiibo cards coming to her shortly!

Third Place by Connor

In third place, we have an evil doctor Kiki operating on her unfortunately helpless patient Tabby. This entry by Connor really stood out to me as being unique by making clever use of the Happy Home Camera feature in the game with the angle of the camera, as well as using Animal Crossing amiibo cards for the characters. Find it on Miiverse here.

Connor has three packs of Animal Crossing amiibo cards coming to him shortly!

Fourth Place by Jess

Our fourth place winner is an outdoor graveyard design by Jess. Perhaps my favourite entry of the five, they made good use of items to achieve an outdoors look to the entry, without even being outside! It just screams spooky Halloween all over to me. Find it on Miiverse here.

Fifth Place by Zandy

And finally in fifth place, we have Zandy’s scary evil laboratory design. Notably, this entry was actually created in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, as we allowed entries through the game even if you didn’t own Happy Home Designer. Find it on Miiverse here.

Perhaps the three amiibo card packs heading his way will encourage him to pick up the game? 🙂

In addition to these winners, another thirty readers who entered the contest at all have a free pack of Animal Crossing amiibo cards coming to them. If you were selected for this, you’ve already received an email by now from us and Nintendo will be shipping any time now. (assuming you replied to us, it’s too late now!)

Thank you to everyone who entered this contest, or participated in the voting if they could not enter! And of course, we really appreciate Nintendo of Canada working with us on the contest to provide awesome prizes for our Canadian readers. Let us know in the comments if you’d like to see more contests like this on Animal Crossing World in the future, even if just for fun!

There’s still lots more content coming to Animal Crossing World soon between the upcoming Series 2, 3, and 4 series of amiibo cards, a new wave of Animal Crossing amiibo figures, and reviews of other Nintendo titles! In particular, stay tuned for reviews on Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival, Yoshi’s Woolly World, and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash soon.

And you know… that one fateful day in the future when we finally get a true new Animal Crossing game announced.
