If you watched the brand new trailer of Animal Crossing: New Horizons from this morning’s Nintendo Direct and felt like you needed more Animal Crossing, we’ve got good news for you — there’s MORE!
During the Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3 2019 live stream following the Nintendo Direct, Animal Crossing developers Aya Kyogoku and Hisashi Nogami appeared for a length demo showing off actual gameplay of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
We don’t yet know their specific roles on this title, but Aya Kyogoku was previously Director on Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Hisashi Nogami directed both Animal Crossing: Wild World and City Folk. Presumably, Kyogoku will be directing Animal Crossing: New Horizons with oversight from Nogami.
Inside the demo, we get a more complete look at the gameplay behind the new crafting system, as well as the first sight of the island’s map in the bottom right. Not to mention, the reveal of a new local multiplayer co-op mode!
Check out a complete replay of their nearly 30-minute gameplay demo, with commentary from the two developers below:
Pre-orders are now open for Animal Crossing: New Horizons at Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy. Stay tuned to Animal Crossing World for more on Animal Crossing: New Horizons as we approach the release date next year.
