A brand new Story of Seasons game is coming to Nintendo Switch overseas later this year and it’s bursting with charm from the popular Doraemon manga series!

For those not familiar, Story of Seasons is the new name of the long running Harvest Moon series of farming life simulator games.

Similar to Stardew Valley, you’ll develop your very own farm by planting, growing, and harvesting crops on the land. There’s plenty to explore outside your farm too with a town full of fun characters to make friends and help them out.

And of course there’s farm animals to raise and furniture to build for your house too, just like you’d expect from this sort of game! Basically, you probably already know if you’ll like this game.

One unique aspect about Doraemon Story Of Seasons that easily stands out though has to be the unique painterly pastel art style that the entire game features. I’m not much of a Doraemon fan myself, but this beautiful art style alone has definitely captured my attention to the game!

Although there aren’t many details, another twist that Doraemon brings to the standard Story of Seasons gameplay is an assortment of ‘secret gadgets’ created by Doraemon that will mix up building your farm.

Alongside today’s announcement, Bandai Namco released a collection of gorgeous new screenshots showing off the English version giving us a good look at the game. We’ve included them all at the end of this article.

Doraemon Story of Seasons releases on Nintendo Switch and PC on October 11th in North America and Europe. At this time, it looks like there will only be a digital release on the Nintendo eShop and Steam in North America, but box-art for a physical release in Europe has been revealed.

Let us know in the comments below if you’re thinking about picking up Doraemon Story of Seasons or not. We think this should make an excellent simulator game to play this fall while waiting for Animal Crossing: New Horizons to hit next year!
