Animal Crossing: New Horizons is eligible for Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers in North America, Europe, Australia

We finally have confirmation today that Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be eligible for the Nintendo Switch Game Voucher program in North America, Europe, and Australia!

For those not familiar, the Nintendo Switch Game Voucher program was introduced last year as a special promotion for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers to get two games for a discounted price. You purchase a pack of two vouchers for a set price, typically about 15-20% less than two full priced games, and then redeem them in the eShop for eligible games.

While we obviously expected that Animal Crossing: New Horizons would be an eligible title, we wanted to wait until it was officially confirmed as it would unfortunate to purchase these vouchers for Animal Crossing and find out it’s not eligible.

UPDATE 02/08: This article has been updated with new confirmation that Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers can be used for Animal Crossing: New Horizons in North America as well, but the vouchers can nolonger be purchased there. 

In Europe and Australia however, the vouchers appear to still be available for purchase if you’re interested.

Prices will vary by region, but you can buy the pack of two Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers in the United Kingdom for £84.00. We expect Animal Crossing: New Horizons to priced at £49.99, so you’d be able to get any second eligible Switch game for just £34. You can find the Nintendo UK page on this offer here.
