DEAL: You Can Save $10 on Animal Crossing: New Horizons at Walmart US This Friday!

If you haven’t pre-ordered Animal Crossing: New Horizons already, you can pick up the game with a great deal at Walmart in the United States later this week!

Thanks to an in-store price tag photo, courtesy of @videogamedeals, we can confirm that Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be available at Walmart for just $49.94 when the game releases in a few days. That’s a full $10 lower than the official MSRP of $59.99 in the United States!

While it might not be a huge discount, that’s still almost 20% off, and it’s really hard to complain about getting any kind of sale for a brand new Nintendo release like Animal Crossing considering the company’s reputation for few discounts.

We did some more searching around and discovered that this price point is actually quite standard for Nintendo Switch games at Walmart with many games available at around $50, whether they’re brand new releases or past games from the last few years.

However, this discount appears to only take place in-store as Walmart.com’s online listing for Animal Crossing: New Horizons located here still remains at the MSRP of $59.99 with no discount displayed. So this deal is really only for the fan willing to journey to an actual Walmart store.

Understandably, that may not be appealing to everyone right now with the current health situation. It’s certainly a lot easier to just download a digital copy from the Nintendo eShop, but if you’re heading to Walmart anyway for groceries, it may be worthwhile.

Of course, you might already have a pre-order somewhere to get a pre-order bonus like the Animal Crossing Journal at Target and the Tom Nook Phone Badge at Best Buy, in which case you probably prefer that bonus.

But if you haven’t already pre-ordered Animal Crossing: New Horizons and plan on picking up a physical copy, then you might as well save ten dollars! Let me know in the comments below where you plan on getting your copy of the game.
