Nintendo Switch System Update Ver. 10.0.4 Released

A new minor system update has been released for the Nintendo Switch with a very important fix addressing a recent issue on the Nintendo eShop.

Over the past few days, a new bug emerged preventing some users from using a credit card to add new funds on their Nintendo Switch in the Nintendo eShop, and subsequently making it difficult to purchase games.

Naturally, this was a critical issue for Nintendo to fix as soon as possible, and that’s exactly what they’ve done in Version 10.0.4 of the Nintendo Switch operating system released today, as mentioned in the official patch notes below.

Fixed the following issue:

We have fixed the issue where it was not possible in some countries or regions to add funds using a new credit card or to register credit card information in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch.

The most recent actual game update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons came in mid May with the minor release of Version 1.2.1 bringing a fix to various item duplication exploits. Since then, we haven’t seen any more updates released, minor or major.

As for when the next major update might happen, we’re expecting one to arrive in around a few weeks when we approach the beginning of July. That’s because the current Wedding Season event ends on June 30th and there are no further events beyond that in the game right now.
