How To Play Wedding Season & Event Dates
The Wedding Season event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons starts on June 1st running for the entire month of June! For this event, the dates are the same every year, including 2026 where it is held from June 1st to 30th, 2026.
When the Wedding Season event begins on your island, there will be a morning announcement from Isabelle sharing how she can feel love in the air marking the beginning of wedding season! According to her, anyone who is married in June will be blessed with a lifetime of happiness.
After the morning announcements, you’ll receive a phone call from Harvey on your NookPhone when leaving your house! He’ll fill you in on the Wedding Season activities happening on his Photopia island where Reese and Cyrus can be found.
To visit Harvey’s island with Reese & Cyrus, head to your Airport in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and speak to Orville at the counter. Just tell him that you want to fly and select the ‘Visit Harv’s Island’ option.
When you arrive on the island, you’ll meet Harvey conversing with the special guests of Wedding Season — Reese and Cyrus! They’re celebrating their wedding anniversary in June and need your help decorating for their photos.
After you meet them for the first time, Harvey will take you into his Wedding Picture Studio, which is unfortunately rather empty. That’s where you come in to help decorate it for the lovebirds using a brand new set of Wedding Season furniture!
When you’re visiting Harvey’s Island on subsequent days during June, make sure to talk to him outside the studio each day to enter the Wedding Picture Studio. If you just walk straight in, you’ll end up in the regular non-event version.
How To Decorate Photo Shoots For Reese & Cyrus
Once you’re inside of Harvey’s Wedding Picture Studio, speak with Reese to find out exactly what kind of photo shoot you’ll be taking for the couple today. The first time you play this event, you’ll be asked to decorate the studio with a Ceremony theme using White and Pink items, but this will change on subsequent days.
To get started with decorating, press the Down Button on the D-Pad to enter designer mode, and then press the Right Button to access your available items to begin decorating for Reese & Cyrus! You’ll want to focus on including the special Wedding Season items found under the Event tab, but you can add other regular items from your catalog too.
It’s worth noting that you can easily adjust the variation of any customizable item while inside of Harvey’s studio by pressing the X button either on a placed item, or when inside of the catalog menu. Almost every piece of Wedding Season furniture has multiple customization options that you can use later on in the event.
When you’ve finished decorating the wedding studio with all the items you want, press the ZL Button to open the Camera, then press the + Button to take your wedding anniversary photo of Reese & Cyrus! It doesn’t matter what’s actually in your photo though, it can be taken anywhere.
After you’ve taken a photo with the Camera app, speak to Reese and show off your photo! Keep in mind that if you took multiple photos only the very last one you captured will be used. Reese will let you know what she thinks of your photo and decorations, then reward you with some valuable Heart Crystals !
If it’s your first time doing a photo shoot for Reese & Cyrus during the Wedding Season event, you’ll also receive the Wedding Bench item from Reese for free as a reward. Other items are given for free when completing later photo shoots, like the Wedding Table and Reese & Cyrus Photo Plate.
How To Get Heart Crystals
Each time you complete a Photo Shoot for Reese & Cyrus inside of Harvey’s Studio, you’ll receive some Heart Crystal event materials from Reese! Throughout the month of June while the Wedding Season event is taking place, you can take a new photo shoot with Reese & Cyrus every single day to win more Heart Crystals and get more special items. If you don’t have room to fit Heart Crystals in your inventory, don’t worry as they’ll be sent to your mailbox at home instead. Be sure to check there if you’re missing some crystals you worked hard for and can’t find!
There are essentially two parts to the Wedding Season event — the first six days of photo shoots where you start off with limited items, and the remaining days of the month afterwards where customizations are unlocked.
During the first six days of Wedding Season photo shoots, you can get a minimum of 4 Heart Crystals and a maximum of 14 Heart Crystals  from Reese daily. Later after you’ve completed the party photo shoot and unlocked all items, the maximum amount per day increases to 18 Heart Crystals from Day 7 onwards.
With 30 days in June, you could earn as many as 516 Heart Crystals if you complete a photo shoot with a maximum score every day. If you want to buy one of every unique wedding themed item available from Cyrus during the Wedding Season event, you’ll need to earn and spend at least 261 Heart Crystals .
Best Decorating Strategy To Get Most Heart Crystals
The easiest way to maximize your Heart Crystals is to simply place one item and replicate as many as you can possibly fit in the room, with the benefit maxing out at around 25 items. The Wedding Decoration item is ideal for this initially because it can be placed on walls where there is ample space on all sides. You can also use a one-tile floor item like the Wedding Flower Stand when unlocked.
Reese & Cyrus don’t use any sort of complicated algorithm to determine your prize, it’s as simple as placing a lot of Wedding Season items in the studio! There’s actually no need to be diverse either, you can simply spam the same item repeatedly if you wish.
Of course, this isn’t exactly the most fun way to play the event and likely not what the developers intended. If you enjoy decorating and playing with furniture, there’s no reason you can’t go about the event as you wish — just keep in mind you may not receive the maximum amount of Heart Crystals .
Follow The Daily Theme From Reese
However, after you unlock the customization versions of Wedding items on the 7th day, you do need to ensure you follow the correct item theme.
To do this, you’ll need to make use of the Wedding Furniture variations. You can change the variation or customization of an item inside the studio by simply pressing the X button with your cursor over an item to bring up the variation menu.
- Cute Set: When Reese asks for the Cute Set Theme, you don’t need to make any variation changes — just use the defaults of pink and white!
- Chic Set: When Reese asks for the Chic Set Theme, customize all of your Wedding items with the X button to the Brown, Beige, and Black variation of Chic to get the optimal score! For the Wedding Pipe Organ item, use the Dark Brown variation.
- Garden Set: When Reese asks for the Garden Set Theme, customize all of your Wedding items with the X button to the Green, Yellow, Brown variation of Garden to get the optimal score! For the Wedding Pipe Organ item, use the Natural variation.

- Rewards are delivered by mail and have a daily limit of 8 items at a time.
- Completing specific Photo Shoots with Reese & Cyrus on Day 6 and 7 of the event for 3 different items.
