Animal Crossing: Wild World now available on Wii U in Europe; no sign in North America

As we previously reported earlier this week, Animal Crossing: Wild World is now available for download on the Wii U Virtual Console in Europe.

If you’re in Europe, you can download Wild World right now for just €9.99 or £8.99 through the Nintendo eShop, and it takes up just 67.5 megabytes of space on your Wii U.

But as for the rest of the world? Nintendo of America’s weekly download press release has come and gone today with sadly no word on any release of Animal Crossing: Wild World on the Wii U Virtual Console:

  • Virtual Console on Wii U
    • SUPER STREET FIGHTER II TURBO REVIVAL – Choose from more than 16 brawlers from the Street Fighter universe. The original eight world warriors are back, along with four playable boss characters and four newcomers to this version of the game. Execute special moves and super combos to wreak havoc on your opponent. There can be only one street fighter champion.

Without a simultaneous release this week though, it’s hard to really have any idea as to when it may release in North America. The Virtual Console releases between regions are unfortunately very inconsistent at times. Even Japan doesn’t have the game right now.

Regardless, we’ll let you know whenever we hear of a release outside of Europe. In the meantime, if you’ve downloaded the game in Europe, let us know in the comments below how it is on the Wii U so far. We’re eager to hear!
