Animal Crossing: New Horizons NEWS incoming as Isabelle’s Twitter quits Pocket Camp, for real this time

After much waiting and anticipation, it looks as if Nintendo’s official Twitter account for Animal Crossing will finally begin sharing New Horizons news!
If this sounds familiar to you, that’s because we basically wrote about this already last month in November when the new Pocket Camp Twitter account was first opened and Isabelle’s Twitter bio was updated. Since then though, we hit a few road bumps along the way.
At the time, Isabelle said that while she would continue tweeting about Pocket Camp for a bit, starting in December she would stop and the new account would become the ‘go-to source’ for everything Pocket Camp. And presumably, New Horizons tweets would begin when that happens.
So ever since we turned over to the beginning of the month in December, fans have been not-so-patiently waiting for the Pocket Camp tweets to end and New Horizons tweets to begin. Just one look at the replies on any of Isabelle’s tweets shows it all!
Is everyone following Lloid at @Pocket_Camp? Starting now, he'll be taking over fully as your one source for Pocket Camp news! Best of luck, Lloid! I believe in you!

Well, we certainly expected that moment would come far sooner than today, but it seems the time has finally come. In a new tweet last night, Isabelle shared that the @Pocket_Camp account will be ‘taking over fully’ as the single source for Pocket Camp news ‘starting now’!
Although we can’t say exactly when, it’s likely that Isabelle will begin to tweet about Animal Crossing: New Horizons very soon if Pocket Camp tweets have now fully ended. It would be a waste of marketing muscle for Nintendo to keep the feed empty for any significant period of time.
Given that we’re approaching the 3 month mark this Friday before the game releases on March 20th, perhaps that would be a good time to begin? It’s about time that Nintendo puts some focus onto New Horizons given that it’s their next major game release.
As for what might be shared, it’s hard to say exactly. Possibilities could range from the most likely territory of semi-frequent screenshots showing minor new features to the less likely scenario of a new trailer drop! It has been more than 3 months since the last major showing in September’s Nintendo Direct, so we’ll just have to see what happens.
My personal guess though? We still haven’t actually seen Isabelle in New Horizons at all yet, so what better way to kick off her Twitter account than by introducing her in-game appearance? I suspect we’ll be seeing our first screenshot of Isabelle in New Horizons sooner than later, via Twitter!
