Bugs, Fish, Sea Creatures Leaving In August For Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Northern & Southern Hemisphere)

It’s never too early to ensure you’ve caught all of the critters available during a month in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH)! In this guide, we’ll tell you every bug, fish, and sea creature departing from your island after August ends.

Each and every month in Animal Crossing: New Horizons brings a different set of fish or bug creatures that can appear on your Animal Crossing island depending on the current month from the real-time clock.

That means some fish, bugs, and sea creatures currently found on your island right now will disappear becoming no longer obtainable when the month of August ends and September begins!

So if you want to catch every single creature to complete your NookPhone’s Critterpedia for getting golden tool items and donate every critter to the Museum, it’s important to know which critters are leaving and making sure you catch them before August ends.

This guide covers both the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere islands — you’ll find the Southern information below the Northern sections. We’re also including Sea Creatures now after they were added in the Summer Update last month!

For August, the vast majority of critters leaving are Summer Bugs in the Northern Hemisphere, whereas for the Southern Hemisphere there are a healthy amount of Sea Creatures leaving and notably the snow Dung Beetle.
