Halloween Preparations Begin In Animal Crossing: New Horizons For Saturday Night’s Event

4 years ago 1 Comment

There’s only a few days to go until the in-game Halloween Night with Jack event for Animal Crossing: New Horizons begins on Saturday night, but a few signs will begin appearing today as a reminder of what’s on the way later this week!

When you login today playing in real-time, the very first thing you’ll spot is a small change in your morning greeting from Isabelle or Tom Nook. No matter who you have for your morning announcements, they’ll be dressed in a festive mood with Isabelle sporting a mage’s hat and Tom Nook wearing some impish horns.

If your announcements are served by Isabelle like for most players, be sure to take a peek inside Resident Services to spot Tom Nook with those impish horns too! Speaking of Resident Services, you’ll find two new pumpkin Spooky Towers decorating the plaza area as well.

Your island’s shopkeepers will be getting in on the spooky festivities too with Timmy & Tommy at Nook’s Cranny wearing Animal Hats in Pointy and Round varieties. Plus, the always lovely Mabel has her own pair of impish horns too at Able Sisters

Don’t forget that you can find any of these fun Halloween accessories for sale at Able Sisters to wear yourself — we’ve covered the entire selection including all variations in our Halloween Costumes & Clothing (Able Sisters, Kicks, Jack) guide here.

All of these new spooky decorations appearing today throughout your island are in lead-up to the full fledged Halloween Night Event taking place at 5PM on October 31st with special character Jack the Pumpkin Czar making his return appearance from past Animal Crossing games.

During the Halloween Night event, you’ll be able to give Halloween Candy purchased throughout October to both Jack and your villagers in exchange for exclusive Spooky Set items unobtainable outside of Halloween. You can get Lollipops as well that can be traded in for more items.

Here’s all of the new Spooky Set items you can exclusively get during the Halloween Night event on October 31st using Candy and Lollipops:

  • Spooky Carriage
  • Spooky Flooring
  • Spooky Garland
  • Spooky Rug
  • Spooky Table Setting
  • Spooky Wall
  • Spooky Wand

For full details on these items, and all of the other pumpkin items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, check out our full Spooky Set Halloween Pumpkin Items List & DIY Crafting Recipes guide here.

Hopefully you’ve already been stocking up a good supply of Halloween Candy earlier during this month since the update released, but don’t fear if not, because you still have time to buy some in the next few days! Plus, it’s possible to get more Candy on October 31st by scaring your villagers with a costume.

Finally, there are two brand new Reactions you can unlock exclusively on Halloween Night called Haunt and Scare! It’s kind of a shame they couldn’t be unlocked earlier to enjoy during the actual spooky season longer, but you can get your hands on them in a few days. Learn exactly how to get them and every other Reaction in our full guide here.

Since there’s only a few days left in the month, right now is a great time to make sure you’ve caught all of the Bugs, Fish, Sea Creatures Leaving In October before they disappear too.
