Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town Gets Exciting New Trailer & Premium Edition

The next brand new Story of Seasons game is just a few months away, and a fun new trailer showing off the game has been released, alongside details on a collector’s edition!

After this year’s release of the remade Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town on Nintendo Switch, the very first original installment in the series is on the way soon in the form of Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town.

For those not familiar, Story of Seasons is the new name for the previous Harvest Moon series of farming simulation games. If you enjoyed Stardew Valley, there’s a good chance you’ll like this as well.

The new gameplay trailer from XSEED Games gives us a close look at everything Pioneers of Olive Town has to offer including building a new farm up from scratch in a forest by repeating buildings and bridges.

Once your farm gets going with some crops to harvest, you’ll be able to spend plenty of time designing the landscape with paths and decorations like fountains and chairs.

One new feature that appears to be inspired by Animal Crossing is the addition of a Museum that will allow you to donate fish, treasure, and even photos snapped of wild life you find across the world!

Going beyond your farm, there will be plenty of adventuring to do as well from hunting for treasure and minerals in the mines to fishing the seas for the next greatest catch.

For those looking to go the extra mile, a special Premium Edition of Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town will be available including a 13.5” by 24” cloth poster and 2.5” tall by 4” long buffalo pocket plushie. It’s available to pre-order at Amazon for $59.99 right now, or the regular game for $49.99.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is set for release on Nintendo Switch in North America on March 23rd, 2021 and in Europe on March 26th, 2021. Unlike most Story of Seasons releases, this represents only a very small gap after the Japanese release coming up in February.
