6 Great Animal Crossing Hotel Pier Designs Fans Created In Just 24 Hours

2 days ago 1 Comment

It’s only been 24 hours since Nintendo dropped the Version 3.0 Update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but the decorating community has already impressed us with some fantastic early hotel pier designs!

One of the unexpected surprises from Version 3.0 so far has been how decoratable the Resort Hotel’s surrounding landscape can be. The entire expanded surface area for the hotel can have Custom Designs placed on it, as well as any furniture items. You can even block the entryway if that’s your style!

Japanese Style Hotel

When I say that my jaw absolutely dropped to the floor seeing this Japanese style hotel design, I mean it…

Between the pebble floor on the pier, the fine raked gravel in front of the hotel, the stones leading up to the entrance, and all the decorations surrounding. This stunning example really shows the potential to work the Resort Hotel’s presence into your island theme, no matter what.

What’s even more impressive, the creator @Natoo_nebaneba shared this stunning design only three hours after the Version 3.0 update launched! That’s some quick work.

Ivy Planters Hotel

Comparatively, this design takes a simpler approach, but displays a great working example of how you can incorporate plants and ivy to warm up the hotel’s look.

In particular, the Pergola arch furniture placed directly in front stands out as a perfect match for the hotel’s entryway. We’ll be seeing a lot of those items on the new pier!

Cozy Outdoor Patio Hotel

The newly expanded pier is perfect for anything resembling an outdoor patio or other gathering space with its natural setting over water — just like this cozy outdoor patio hotel design.

Sure, you could place items on the pier overhang before, but the space prior to Version 3.0 was much tighter. Now the newly expanded pier area has enough space to comfortably place couches, chairs, and tables!

Neon Night Bar Hotel

Along similar lines as the outdoor patio, this design embraces Animal Crossing’s bright neon furniture items for a new use on the hotel pier.

With a bubble machine blasting away, bottles on the counter, and a cash register, it’s really looking like a great time at a neon hotel bar!

Frosty Ice Hotel

Brrr, it’s a frozen over ice hotel! This pier design embraces the January wintery season our islands are currently in with furniture from the Frozen set surrounding the entrance.

But most of all, we’re so impressed by the clever use of snow footprint custom design patterns lined up leading to the hotel’s entryway! They look really great on the pier, especially paired with the white fencing.

Under Construction Hotel

Okay — this hotel design might not be in the same category of aesthetics, but it’s a nice demonstration showing how you can use wall items to entirely block off the hotel, and then use the pier as an extension for anything else.

In this particular case, the creator @rajino2011 is cleverly imitating the hotel as under construction, even though it’s actually open! We even saw a few replies from folks who appeared to actually be fooled by this wondering why the creator won’t time travel.

We hope this collection gives you some inspiration for the design work you could do on your own island’s hotel pier over the coming days as we explore Version 3.0 of Animal Crossing: New Horizons!
