Check out a brand new video interview on Nintendo Minute with Animal Crossing: New Leaf’s producer Katsuya Eguchi and director Aya Kyogoku.

It’s rather strange to conduct and publish an interview for a year old game, so it wouldn’t surprise me if there was some kind of Animal Crossing announcement in store for E3 next week. Of course, if there’s anything announced, you’ll see it right here on this blog!

Looks like Nintendo made some printing errors on the new Animal Crossing: New Leaf 2-Poster Set from Club Nintendo recently. A number of villagers listed on one of the posters included in the set are incorrectly labeled with either a typo of the name, or a name belonging to a completely different villager. One or two errors wouldn’t be a big deal but there are reportedly about 12 name errors.

Thankfully, if you happened to order these posters previously, Nintendo is shipping out free replacements soon fixing the errors. They’ve got you covered!

Looks like the developers over at Retro Studios in Texas are big fans of Animal Crossing! A neat little easter egg has been discovered in the upcoming Wii U game release Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. When the player stops moving for a while, an idle animation is enacted with Donkey Kong taking out his Nintendo 3DS to play a selection of games.

One of those games is Animal Crossing: New Leaf as you can hear the 3PM hour music playing for a few seconds. The other two games played are Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Super Mario 3D Land. Check them all out in the video below, you’ll catch the Animal Crossing cameo at 24 seconds in:
