One of the most common sentiments I’ve heard from Animal Crossing fans after the announcement of Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival has been something along the lines of “Well, even if it is good, I’m not gonna have anyone to play it with anyway…”
Hold on there! What’s this? An intriguing image was spotted on Nintendo of Europe’s servers today revealing the existence of four Animal Crossing amiibo figures just ahead of Tuesday’s Nintendo Digital Event at E3 2015.
Just hours after a new Nintendo Direct was announced for North America and Europe, the Animal Crossing: New Leaf 3DS XL Bundle on their website for £189.
Remember, retailers can be wrong and this is not an official confirmation. However, the bundle appearing 2 days before a 3DS Nintendo Direct is certainly suspicious. We’ll let you know if there’s any updates or listings from other retailers.
UPDATE: ShopTo has since removed the page from their website. Was it a mistake or did Nintendo tell them to take it down? Find out on the Nintendo Direct tomorrow I guess!
A month back we reported on Amazon France’s listing of September 28th as a release date for Animal Crossing 3DS. At the time I said that there might be a grain of truth to the date based on previous Amazon release date predictions. However since then the listing has been removed and the game is back to “Coming Soon”. Not a big update but I figured you guys might want to know. In other news we’re now just three weeks away from E3 2012. Get your hype on!
Amazon France has updated their product page for Animal Crossing 3DS with a release date of September 28th 2012. I usually don’t report on release dates given by retailers like GameStop but I rarely have seen Amazon put up release dates that were unannounced so I think there’s a chance that this might be true. As usual, it isn’t an official date from Nintendo so don’t count on this date for sure. Sidenote: 55 days until E3 2012 where we’re sure to get new information on AC 3DS!
