Get Your Limited-Time Aurora Wall Or Sunflower Rug In Animal Crossing: New Horizons This Month
Two brand new and limited-time seasonal items are now available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to celebrate the beginning of Winter or start of Summer, depending on where you live!
It’s been a while since we’ve seen any new Seasonal items make their way to Nook Shopping, after the Moon Rug released back in September, but it’s finally time for more.
For the Winter Season on Northern Hemisphere islands, a gorgeous new Aurora Wall item for your house’s wallpaper can be picked up! Additionally, the Midwinter Sweater returns if you missed it before, previously named Winter-Solstice Sweater.
It’s no coincidence that the Aroura Wall becomes available in Nook Shopping this month as you’ll be able to start spotting the beautiful Aroura Borealis weather event on your island later in December! Here’s how to make sure you don’t miss it.
And on the flip side, Southern Hemisphere players can enjoy an adorable new Sunflower Rug to celebrate their Summer Season with Summer Shells and sharks appearing this month. The Sunflower Crown returns as well, previously known as the Summer-Solstice Crown.
When the Midwinter Sweater and Sunflower Crown items first appeared earlier this year at the previous seasonal transition in June, they were both openly available to order in the same month in both hemispheres. However, with the Winter Update, Nintendo has made an adjustment correctly locking these types of items to the proper season in each hemisphere.
That means in order to get your hands on the Sunflower Rug in the Northern Hemisphere, or the Aurora Wall in the Southern Hemisphere, you’ll need to either trade with another player in the opposite season or time travel by six months.
You can find all of these seasonal items for purchase inside Nook Shopping’s Special Goods section. They’re in a unique category at the very end of the tabs called Seasonal that only appears when items are currently available.
If you’ve unlocked the Nook Shopping app on your NookPhone, you can use that app to access the items. Otherwise, just head to the Nook Stop terminal at Resident Services to get your hands on these fun new items.
Check out all the details for all four of the currently available seasonal Nook Shopping items below including item names, photos, descriptions, prices, and availability dates! You’ll want to catch them before the month ends on December 31st.
