Everything New In February 2026 For Animal Crossing: New Horizons
February is here bringing plenty of new additions and changes to experience in Animal Crossing: New Horizons throughout the month, including the Festivale holiday!
In this article, we’ll cover everything new for you to enjoy throughout February 2026 on your Animal Crossing: New Horizons island for real-time players, including limited time items and seasonal events.
Buy New Festivale Items, Clothes, Reactions
During February, the shops around your island begin selling limited-time items to prepare for the upcoming Festivale holiday event held on February 16th, 2026.
Festivale Furniture at Nook’s Cranny
At Nook’s Cranny, you can find 9 different Festivale items for sale from Timmy and Tommy beginning on February 1st including the Festivale Balloon Lamp, Festivale Confetti Machine, Festivale Garland, Festivale Stage, and more.
Only a single type of color variant will be sold at your island’s store though. To get other versions, you’ll need to participate in the Festivale event on February 16th to either trade in matching feather colors or earn Rainbow Feathers to use for customization at a DIY Workbench.
Festivale Clothing at Able Sisters
Furniture isn’t the only way to get your Festivale vibe on before the big event starts! Drop by the Able Sisters shop for a chance at finding three different types of Festivale clothing and accessories.
Each Festivale clothing item comes in four different design variants matching the main feather colors. Make sure to purchase them all!
Festivale Reactions at Nook’s Cranny
Rounding out all of the Festivale items you can find during February, you won’t want to miss out on the Viva Festivale Reaction Set found inside the cabinet at Nook’s Cranny.
By purchasing the Viva Festivale Reaction Set for 19,800 Bells, you’ll learn four brand new Festivale themed reactions in Animal Crossing: New Horizons called Feelin’ It, Let’s Go, Viva, and Confetti:
Festivale Holiday Event
Towards the middle of the month, you’ll be able to experience the full Festivale Event on February 16th, 2026! During this fabulous event, look out for special character Pavé the colorful peacock visiting your island outside of Resident Services.
Throughout the event, beautiful feathers of five different colors will rain down upon your island from the sky floating around and waiting to be caught by you using a Net!
These lovely feathers can be traded to Pavé to obtain the same Festivale Set furniture items that are sold at Nook’s Cranny. However, the color of the feathers you give Pavé will determine the color variant of the Festivale furniture reward, letting you easily obtain different colors.
You’ll also unlock a special new DIY crafting recipe that can craft Rainbow Feathers using one of every other color of Feather.
Finally, in the event’s grand conclusion, you’ll be able to earn the exclusive Festivale Float furniture item from Pavé by trading him three Rainbow Feathers. This item isn’t sold at Nook’s Cranny!
Valentine’s Day Mini-Event & Items
Starting on February 1st, two new Valentine’s Day themed items can be purchased from the Seasonal tab in Nook Shopping! These lovely items are the Chocolate Heart and Heart-Shaped Bouquet with many variations.
Here are all 4 of the Chocolate Heart item variations of Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, White Chocolate, and Strawberry Chocolate:
And here are the 6 Heart-Shaped Bouquet item variations in Red, Pink, Yellow, Purple, White, and Black:
Both items are available in the Seasonal tab of Nook Shopping from February 1st to 14th.
In addition to these items, there are two special touches for Valentine’s Day on February 14th from characters on your island. Look out for letters in the mail from Isabelle or villagers you have a close friendship with, or a special treat from Brewster at The Roost!
Lunar New Year & Seollal Items
Later in February, look out for the Lunar New Year & Seollal holidays bringing three new items starting on February 15th, 2026.
First, these holidays bring the pair of Lucky Red Envelope and Bokjumeoni Lucky Pouch items in Nook Shopping’s Special Goods that can be used to wrap Bells.
When you wrap Bells using either of these two items, the item is converted into either the Lucky Money or Sebaetdon items in your inventory. Then, each converted item can be unwrapped to reveal some Bells, ideally for gifting to another player.
Additionally, the gorgeous Lunar New Year Decoration furniture item can be ordered as a wall-mounted decoration to celebrate the holiday.
All three of these Lunar New Year and Seollal items are available in the Seasonal tab of Nook Shopping from February 15th to 22nd, 2026.
Hinamatsuri Festival Items (Girl’s Day)
Towards the end of the month, the Hinamatsuri Festival holiday in Japan (also known as Girl’s Day) is celebrated by Animal Crossing: New Horizons from February 22nd to March 3rd, 2026.
This holiday introduces two new items to Nook Shopping’s Special Goods — the Hinaningyo and Blossom Lantern. However, only one item is available for sale at a time, so check back on multiple days to grab both!
Say Goodbye to Snow & Hello to Grass
While it’s often special experiencing the first snowfall on your island, it doesn’t take too long for that magic to become boring and tired, just like in the real world. Starting on February 25th in the Northern Hemisphere, your island’s snow will disappear as the grass landscape begins to return, but with a muted tone at first!
That also means the first few weeks of February are your final chance to collect all of the Winter Snowflake DIY crafting recipes and build your Perfect Snowman with Snowballs as this content will leave alongside the snow on February 25th.
Young Spring Bamboo Materials & Items
When the snow leaves your island on February 25th, the winter’s seasonal items will be replaced by Young Spring Bamboo materials and items!
To get your hands on Young Spring Bamboo, simply find some Bamboo on an island and hit it with a Stone Axe for a chance of Young Spring Bamboo materials to drop. As for getting the recipes, those will unfortunately come randomly from shooting down Balloon Presents.
And for Southern Hemisphere players, February will be the last month of the Summer season in Animal Crossing: New Horizons as you head into the start of Autumn season in March. Get those Summer Shell recipes while you can!
New Fish, Bugs, Sea Creatures
For players in the Northern Hemisphere, February is a pretty quiet month on the new creatures front. There are no new fish and sea creatures to discover compared to January, but the Tiger Beetle does make an appearance as the only new bug:
