Hi folks. Lately I’ve noticed an increase in comments on the site so I’ve taken some time to install a popular commenting system called DISQUS. You may have seen this commenting system used on other websites across the web so hopefully it will be familiar!
Benefits of the new system include:
- Comment ratings (upvote good discussion!)
- Keep track of your past comments with profiles
- Login with Twitter/Facebook/DISQUS for easier commenting
- Or post as a guest like before if you want… It’s up to you!
- Notifications when your comment is replied to
We’ll be giving this a try for a little bit and whether we stick with it will depend on your feedback in the comments below! There are some issues with the final importing of old comments but it should be resolved by tomorrow.
Also, stay tuned for a new post tomorrow all about Brewster’s Cafe in Animal Crossing: New Leaf!

We’re back today with Mr. Iwata’s comments on the reception and sales that Animal Crossing: City Folk received back in 2008 when it launched on the Nintendo Wii. He also talks about the effect it had on New Leaf! Read all about it below:

Nintendo of Korea has just announced that Animal Crossing: New Leaf will be releasing in the country on Feburary 7th. Furthermore, South Korea will also be receiving the special edition Animal Crossing 3DS LL system bundle on Feburary 7th.
Honestly, this is pretty insulting to the rest of the world with no sign of the game coming any time before April in North America and Europe. Discuss away in the comments below!

Big congratulations to Animal Crossing: New Leaf. You’re the first Nintendo 3DS game to pass 2 million copies sold in Japan according to Famitsu! It’s kind of ridiculous how fast New Leaf sold compared to other 3DS titles, just look at the animated graph above. (New Leaf is the big blue spike at the end!)
Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land are close to hitting the 2 million mark but that’s over the span of 14 months while New Leaf has reached this mark in less than 2 months. Very impressive indeed.
There’s certainly no danger of the Animal Crossing franchise coming to an end any time soon based on these massive sales. Animal Crossing for the Wii U anybody?!?!
