Build-A-Bear X Animal Crossing Collection: Characters, Restocks, How To Buy

The official Build-A-Bear Workshop collection of Animal Crossing: New Horizons characters are now available, and have just been updated with a brand new character! Last updated June 10th, 2021.

After having previously teased the possibility on social media a few times last year, Build-A-Bear Workshop has finally delivered with an official collaboration with Nintendo.

Most recently, the latest new K.K. Slider plush was introduced to the collection including his iconic Guitar and a bundle available that plays K.K. Disco music from Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Animal Crossing Build-A-Bear: Where To Buy

The Build-A-Bear X Animal Crossing: New Horizons collection was initially released on April 6th, 2021 through the company’s official US and UK online stores.

Since then, supply has been replenished regularly with the collection currently in stock as of June 10th at both the Build-A-Bear US online store for $42-51 and the UK store for £39.50.

Additionally, the official Nintendo Online Store in North America has begun selling some Animal Crossing Build-A-Bear products shipping to the US and Canada for $44 USD and $57 CAD.

It’s worth noting that the Nintendo Online Store versions are standalone without Phrases or Theme Music bundles, unlike the Build-A-Bear website, reflecting their reduced price.

In-Store Availability

As for those would prefer to make an in-store purchase, instead of ordering online, Build-A-Bear has confirmed that the collection will arrive this summer at Workshop stores.

The official Nintendo NY retail store in New York City has recently begun selling the Animal Crossing Build-A-Bear products too as of early May. This is the only way to make an in-store purchase right now.

Animal Crossing Build-A-Bear: Character Lineup

The Build-A-Bear Workshop lineup for Animal Crossing currently features three main characters including the most recently added K.K. Slider, plus the previously released Tom Nook and Isabelle. The later two are available in both Summer Outfit and Winter Outfit clothes.

For each combination of character and clothes, a choice of two bundles containing either a Phrases (listen here) or Theme Music (listen here) audio module is available. For K.K. Slider, a special K.K. Disco Song (listen here) replaces the Phrases bundle.

You can choose from the following eight different Animal Crossing: New Horizons configurations from Build-A-Bear’s website starting at $42 USD:

K.K. Slider Is The Newest Build-A-Bear Character

As promised by Build-A-Bear in the Spring, a third new K.K. Slider character has been introduced in June 2021 for the Summer!

This fulfills the previous promise to release a new character, so there’s currently no information on whether or when a fourth character will arrive next. Stay tuned for updates.

Rumor: Potential Future Characters

But what about other popular Animal Crossing characters might Build-A-Bear introduce? What about regular popular villagers such as Raymond and Audie?

Well, we have a few suspicions — based on an interesting quirk in how the Build-A-Bear website works when handling certain name searches, we have reason to believe a number of specific Animal Crossing characters are likely to arrive in the future.

Those potential characters include special character K.K. Slider, plus villagers like Raymond, Audie, Marshal, and Bob.

Additionally, the Build-A-Bear Twitter account has made a couple rather suspicious replies to fans heavily hinting that many more Animal Crossing characters are coming to the collection later.

Animal Crossing Build-A-Bear: Available Countries

As for regional availability, Build-A-Bear Workshop has made the Animal Crossing collection available on their United States and United Kingdom stores so far. Canadians appear to be able to place an order from the US store as well. Some Build-A-Bear retail stores in Australia have received the collection too, according to online reports from fans.
