New & Returning Seasonal Items For May, June, July 2021 In Animal Crossing: New Horizons (April Update)
A wide variety of new and returning seasonal event items are coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) throughout the coming months including items for Cheese Rolling, Wedding Season, Father’s Day, Dragon Boat Festival, and more!
In this article, we’ll cover the full set of new seasonal items introduced in the April Update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons that can be enjoyed throughout May, June, and July over the next few months including when you can get them.
Note that if you miss any of these seasonal items on their available dates, you can freely time travel backwards to catch up and purchase missing items, but time traveling forwards in advance of event dates does not work.

Children’s Day (April 28 to May 5)
Children’s Day is a new 2021 seasonal event celebrating the Japanese holiday about respecting the happiness of children held from April 28th to May 5th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Children’s Day:
- Carp Banner (NEW)
- Newsprint Helmet (NEW)
Mother’s Day (May 1 to 31)
Mother’s Day is a returning 2020 seasonal event celebrating the global holiday honoring mothers in society held from May 1st to 5th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
However, the 2021 version of Mother’s Day features a previously unseen item not available in 2020.
During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Mother’s Day:
- Thank-You Mom Mug
- Carnations (NEW)
Cheese Rolling (May 22 to 31)
Cheese Rolling is a new 2021 seasonal event celebrating an annual race held in England where participants chase after cheese down a hill held from May 22nd to 31st in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. (yes, this is a real thing!)
During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Cheese Rolling:
- Double Gloucester Cheese (NEW)
Wedding Season (June 1 to 30)
Wedding Season is a returning 2020 seasonal event celebrating the marriage of in-game characters Reese and Cyrus held from June 1st to 30th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Technically, this is the return of last year’s Wedding Season holiday event with an entire set of furniture, but this year features new items delivered exclusively as a seasonal Nook Shopping event.
During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Wedding Season:
- Nuptial Bell (NEW)
- Nuptial Doorplate (NEW)
- Nuptial Ring Pillow (NEW)
- Flower-Petal Basket (NEW)
In addition, the following new Wedding Season clothing can be purchased from the Able Sisters shop during the same period:
- Shiromuku (NEW)
- White Hakama With Crest (NEW)
- Tsunokakushi (NEW)
Father’s Day (June 1 to 30)
Father’s Day is a returning 2020 seasonal event celebrating the global holiday honoring fathers in society held from June 1st to 30th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
However, the 2021 version of Father’s Day features a previously unseen item not available in 2020.
During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Father’s Day:

The Thank-You Dad Apron item comes in five different color variations that you can view below — check Nook Shopping each day as the variations rotate:
International Children’s Day (June 1 to 15)
International Children’s Day is a returning 2020 seasonal event celebrating the worldwide holiday honoring children held from June 1st to 15th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for International Children’s Day:
- Handmade Cape
- Handmade Crown
Dano Festival / Dragon Boat Festival (June 5 to 14)
Dano Festival and Dragon Boat Festival are a pair of new 2021 seasonal event celebrating the Korean and Chinese lunar calendar holidays held from June 5th to 14th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Dano Festival and Dragon Boat Festival:
- Surichwi Tteok (NEW)
- Festival Zongzi (NEW)
Summer Solstice / Winter Solstice (June 15 to 21)
Summer Solstice and Winter Solstice are a pair of returning 2020 seasonal event celebrating the beginning of Summer or Winter held from June 15th to 21st in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Unlike most seasonal events, this pair is effected by the Hemisphere setting of your island. Players in the Northern Hemisphere will experience the Summer Solstice items, while players in the Southern Hemisphere can purchase Winter Solstice items.
During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Summer Solstice and Winter Solstice:
- Sunflower Crown
- Sunflower Rug
- Midwinter Sweater
- Aurora Wall
Tanabata (July 1 to 7)
Tanabata is a returning 2020 seasonal event celebrating the Japanese star festival holiday held from July 1st to 7th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Tanabata:
- Bamboo Grass
Marine Day (July 8 to 22)
Marine Day is a new 2021 seasonal event celebrating the Japanese holiday honoring the ocean held from July 8th to 22nd in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Marine Day:

Le 14 Juillet (July 10 to 20)
Le 14 Juillet is a new 2021 seasonal event celebrating the France holiday marking the turning point of the French Revolution held from July 10th to 20th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Le 14 Juillet:

Cowboy Festival (July 15 to August 15)
Cowboy Festival is a returning 2020 seasonal event celebrating the Brazilian cowboy holiday tradition held from July 15th to August 15th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
During this seasonal period, players can purchase the following items from the Special Goods of Nook Shopping for Cowboy Festival:
- Rodeo-Style Springy Ride-on

After the Cowboy Festival beginning on July 15th, there aren’t any further seasonal events currently programmed into the game with a new game update required to implement more. Based on that, we suspect the next Animal Crossing: New Horizons update will be released sometime in late July or very early August.
