Get 3 New Items For Moon-Viewing Day & Chuseok In Animal Crossing: New Horizons This Week

Three more brand new items celebrating worldwide holidays are now available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons this week to purchase!
This week’s new Animal Crossing: New Horizons items have been introduced to celebrate both the Japanese Moon-Viewing Day holiday and the Korean Chuseok holiday taking place during mid-September.
Firstly, the Moon-Viewing Day holiday in Japan honors the autumn moon with festivals held to view it. Dango rice dumplings are often served alongside pampas grass decorations.
To commemorate the holiday, two brand new seasonal items accordingly called the Dango and Moon Cakes are now available for players to collect in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Plus, last year’s Moon Rug item has returned for 2021 if you missed it before!
Here’s the official event descriptions from Nintendo for Moon-Viewing Day:
Admiring the moon is a long-held tradition, but our celestial neighbor is especially beautiful as it hangs in the sky at this time of year. Please consider [these commemorative dango] [this commemorative moon rug] an event souvenir.
Celebrated in parts of Asia, the 15th night on the 8th month–according to the lunisolar calendar–has a harvest moon. This is when the full moon is perfectly situated for observation. How about some moon cakes?
Taking place during September as well, the Chuseok holiday in Korea is a harvest festival where a food feast is shared among family at home, not too dissimilar from Thanksgiving in other nations. Respects are often paid to family who have passed too.
Commemorating this holiday, the brand new seasonal Songpyeon item is now available to order in Animal Crossing: New Horizons bringing a taste of the tradition to your kitchen table.
Here’s the official event description from Nintendo for Chuseok:
In Korea, families gather in their hometowns and visit the graves of their ancestors to pay respect. Songpyeon, filled rice cakes that are steamed on a bed of pine needles, are a tradition Chuseok delicacy.
Players can pick up all four of the Moon Rug, Dango, Moon Cakes, and Songpyeon items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons from the Special Goods section of Nook Shopping for 1,100-2,000 Bells each from September 12th to 21st, 2021.
