Animal Crossing: New Horizons Version 1.11.1 Update Brings Minor Changes (Full Patch Notes)

Nintendo has just released a minor new Version 1.11.1 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) tonight bringing a number of bug fixes and adjustments to the game!

Following up on the major Version 1.11 Update launched at the tail end of July last month, today’s release is a relatively minor update focused on fixing up a few bugs and glitches that popped up in Version 1.11. This isn’t to be mistaken for a major update that contains new content — those come with more fanfare than this!

The most noteworthy fix in this update addresses a major bug that players in our comments here at Animal Crossing World spotted where some color variations for items would not correctly appear in the catalog at Harvey’s Studio on Photopia.

We’re glad to see that issue addressed as it can be sore spot for catalog completionists in a game like Animal Crossing! Another related bug that has been fixed is an incorrect order of DIY Recipes in the NookPhone.

Other than that, two more minor glitches that have been resolved cover the closing music in Nook’s Cranny not looping correctly and an issue where cloud patterns did not properly appear during some in-game seasons.

All around, this is a solid bug fix patch taking care of minor issues that cropped up after the Summer 2021 Update until Nintendo is ready to release the next full major update later this year. It’s good we didn’t have to wait until then for these fixes.

Bug Fixes

The following bugs that occurred in Ver. 1.11.0 have been fixed.

• Fixed a bug that the order was not correct when rearranging in “Obtained order” in the “DIY recipe” app.
• Fixed a bug where the color variations of certain items were not displayed in the catalog at the shooting studio of “Panny Island”.
• Fixed a bug that the closing BGM of “Tanuki Shoten” did not flow.
• Fixed a bug where clouds did not appear in some seasons.

Please note that you will need to be updated to Version 1.11.1 to play online multiplayer with other players and access other network features going forward after this update. Local multiplayer can only be played with others on the same version of the game as you.
