New Bugs, Fish, Sea Creatures In September For Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Northern & Southern Hemisphere)
The seasons are changing in Animal Crossing as September arrives, so it’s time for a New Bugs, Fish, and Sea Creatures Arriving in September Guide for Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH)! We’ll tell you every new critter joining your island this month in both the Northern & Southern Hemispheres.
Each and every month in Animal Crossing: New Horizons brings a different set of fish or bug creatures that can appear on your Animal Crossing island depending on the current month from the real-time clock.
That means you can potentially discover a fresh new batch of fish, bugs, and sea creatures on your island to catch when September begins that weren’t previously available to catch in August! This guide is applicable for all years, including 2023.
Unlike some other months with little activity, September is definitely one of the more notable times of movement in Animal Crossing as Summer creatures fade away to be replaced by their Autumn counterparts in the Northern Hemisphere, or Winter creatures replaced by Spring in the Southern Hemisphere.
So if you want to catch every single creature to complete your NookPhone’s Critterpedia for getting golden tool items and donate every critter to the Museum, it’s important to know which critters have arrived this month and make sure you catch them as soon as you can to get an early start.
This guide covers both the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere islands — you’ll find the Southern information below the Northern sections.
Despite the dying days of Summer, a rather sizeable number of new bugs, fish, and sea creatures can be found during September for Northern Hemisphere players! Most notably, you’ll want to look out for the Cherry Salmon, Golden Trout, and King Salmon. Likewise, September is an active month for Southern Hemisphere players too.
Note that creatures are the same between 2020 – 2023, so you will see similar critters if you have played for a long time. This guide is written inclusive of no matter when someone may have started playing or taken a break, so repeats will show up sometimes!
