Series 5 Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards: COMPLETE Cards List & Buyer’s Guide

3 years ago 42 Comments

A brand new series of official Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards have been released for Animal Crossing: New Horizons and are now available!

Created for the massive new Version 2.0 Update of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the new Series 5 of Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards features 48 cards in total to collect and were released on November 5th, 2021. In this article, we’ll show you where to buy the cards around the world and a complete list of every card in the series with photos.

How To Buy Series 5 Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards

Just like many other collector’s items from Nintendo in recent years, the Series 5 Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards are proving quite hard to purchase so far for many fans. We’re doing our best in this article to track where the Series 5 Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards can be purchased at major retailers around the world, but expect many options to be sold out!

Note that within North America, fans can find 6 randomly selected cards in each pack of Series 5 they pick up. In all other regions, players can pick up 3 randomly picked cards in each pack instead. In all regions, one special character card is guaranteed per pack.

United States

So far, here is where we’ve seen Series 5 Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards for sale at major retailers in the United States:

If you’re having trouble finding any stock, you can consider third-party options as well — more details here! You can also find other Animal Crossing amiibo cards at Amazon here.

Canada

So far, here is where we’ve seen Series 5 Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards for sale at major retailers in Canada:

Best Buy Canada originally enforced a 1 pack per household policy on cards, but this limit has been increased to 3 packs as of October 22nd! Amazon Canada has a limit of two.

Europe

So far, here is where we’ve seen Series 5 Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards for sale at major retailers in Europe:

For fans in the United Kingdom, we’d suggest keeping an eye on the official UK My Nintendo Store as it’s highly likely the cards will appear there sooner or later!

Australia

So far, here is where we’ve seen Series 5 Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards for sale at major retailers in Australia:

Third-Party Options (Worldwide)

If you’re not able to get your hands on the official Series 5 Amiibo Cards, whether due to low stock or the country you live in, another option worth considering is third-party or ‘custom’ amiibo cards sold online.

These are unofficial alternatives not made by Nintendo that essentially contain the same chip inside as the official cards, meaning they will function in Animal Crossing just the same — allowing you to easily invite the new Version 2.0 villagers.

We always recommend purchasing the official cards as a first choice, but given how poor the available stock situation has been so far, we wouldn’t fault anyone for considering custom amiibo instead.

The best place to shop for third-party or custom Series 5 Amiibo Cards is at Etsy in our opinion. There are a number of options, both replicating the official cards and other forms like tokens.

Complete List Of Series 5 Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards

There are 48 new amiibo cards in total found within the fifth series with a mix of special characters who have previously received cards, new special characters and villagers who never had cards, plus a set of new villagers coming in the Version 2.0 Update!

In the section below, you can find the complete collection of Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards in Series 5 with English names, photos, and card numbers. Learn more about the 16 new villagers coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons in our dedicated article here.
