Created for the massive new Version 2.0 Update of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the new Series 5 of Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards features 48 cards in total to collect and were released on November 5th, 2021. In this article, we’ll show you where to buy the cards around the world and a complete list of every card in the series with photos.
How To Buy Series 5 Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards
Just like many other collector’s items from Nintendo in recent years, the Series 5 Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards are proving quite hard to purchase so far for many fans. We’re doing our best in this article to track where the Series 5 Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards can be purchased at major retailers around the world, but expect many options to be sold out!
Note that within North America, fans can find 6 randomly selected cards in each pack of Series 5 they pick up. In all other regions, players can pick up 3 randomly picked cards in each pack instead. In all regions, one special character card is guaranteed per pack.

Third-Party Options (Worldwide)
If you’re not able to get your hands on the official Series 5 Amiibo Cards, whether due to low stock or the country you live in, another option worth considering is third-party or ‘custom’ amiibo cards sold online.
These are unofficial alternatives not made by Nintendo that essentially contain the same chip inside as the official cards, meaning they will function in Animal Crossing just the same — allowing you to easily invite the new Version 2.0 villagers.
We always recommend purchasing the official cards as a first choice, but given how poor the available stock situation has been so far, we wouldn’t fault anyone for considering custom amiibo instead.
The best place to shop for third-party or custom Series 5 Amiibo Cards is at Etsy in our opinion. There are a number of options, both replicating the official cards and other forms like tokens.
