The Holiday / Christmas Gyroidite Scavenger Hunt #6 event has begun in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp for iOS and Android! The event runs from December 11th to 20th, 2018. Learn how to find Toy Day Gyroidites and craft special Christmas / Holiday event clothing in our complete guide!

How to Find and Collect Toy Day Gyroidites

In this event, you’ll be hunting down and collecting special Toy Day Gyroidites to craft event clothing. They’re a special item that appear in-game almost anywhere across the map during the event. The only locations you won’t find them is at your campsite or garden, so that means you can even find them at the Marketplace or OK Motors!

Sometimes you’ll see them in plain sight on the ground, while other times they are cleverly hidden behind obstructions or inside trees. Regardless of where it is, just tap the Toy Day Gyroidite when you see one somewhere to have your character pick it up and add it to your collection!

As for timing and when they spawn, there’s two important things you need to know about hunting down Toy Day Gyroidites:

• Toy Day Gyroidites appear at a rate of about one per ten minutes in a random location while you’re actively playing somewhere they can spawn, which is basically anywhere besides your campsite and garden.
• If you close Pocket Camp or exclusively play in your campsite and garden for at least half an hour, a batch of ten Toy Day Gyroidites will spawn across the map in various locations.

Remember that no matter what, there’s always a hard limit of ten Toy Day Gyroidites that can be present on the map at once. So there’s absolutely no point in waiting all day for them to ‘stack up’ and collect many at a time — your best bet is to keep checking on the game throughout the day with the cap of ten at a time in place!

Getting Toy Day Gyroidites at Shovelstrike Quarry & Villagers

Finding Toy Day Gyroidites on the ground and in trees isn’t the only way to get them though! You can also grab them through two other ways:

• At select random times throughout the day, the Shovelstrike Quarry offers Toy Day Gyroidites as a reward! You’ll know when you see the gyroidite icon on the map. Enter for free by seeking help from five friends, or pay 20 Leaf Tickets to enter instantly.
• Periodically, the villagers can be spoken with to receive friendship points, bells, or materials as a gift. During a Gyrodite Scavenger Hunt event, campers will sometimes give Toy Day Gyroidites too alongside other gifts. Don’t forget to check on them often!

How to Craft Toy Day Clothing

Got some festive Toy Day Gyroidites in your inventory from collecting all day? It’s time to start crafting this event’s festive clothing! Get started by tapping on the Event tab in the Craft menu at the bottom of your screen. Tap on an item to begin crafting it assuming you’ve collected enough gyroidites!

This event features a complete set of eight Holiday / Christmas themed clothing and accessories. Here’s the complete list of what you can craft with Toy Day Gyroidites during Gyroidite Scavenger Hunt #6:

Event Goals: Get Toy Day Candles and Free Leaf Tickets!

Be sure to check out the Event Goals available for a limited time during Gyroidite Scavenger Hunt #6. By completing these goals, you can unlock important Bell Ornament items for progress towards the Toy Day Decor Christmas / Holiday Seasonal Event in December. Up to 30 First-Anniversary Candles and 50 free Leaf Tickets can be earned.

Note that only gyroidites collected from picking them up off the ground count towards the goals. Gyroidites collected from the Shovelstrike Quarry or villagers do not count.
