Two months ago, we posted a list of English names for various characters, locations, and more in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. With the recent Iwata Asks and Tourism Trailer released, a number of new names have been revealed.
Accordingly, here’s our updated list below of the names revealed so far below. Most of the names have been revealed at this point.
Remember the exclusive Animal Crossing: New Leaf feature for North America and Europe that Nintendo teased back in February? It seems to have been revealed prematurely in the officially translated Iwata Asks released today.
We’re now just 2 months away from Animal Crossing: New Leaf’s release in North America and fittingly so, the game is now appearing on the US eShop when you search for it. It’s not too exciting to see a listing but what’s interesting is the price.
The typical price for a new first party Nintendo 3DS game in the United States is $39.99, but Animal Crossing: New Leaf’s official price point appears to be $34.99 instead. We’ve seen some retailers drop their price to $34.99 lately, but it may actually be the standard price and not a discount.
I’m not really sure exactly why Nintendo has chosen to price New Leaf at $35 but I’m not complaining! A discount is always appreciated. Perhaps Nintendo is hoping to attract new players with a lower price point. What do you think the reason is? Leave us a comment below.

Back in November last year when Animal Crossing: New Leaf was released in Japan, an Iwata Asks was released for the game in Japanese. Nintendo of America is likely to translate the interview when we get closer to June but until then, a fan has translated all 6 parts released.

As we approach the two month mark until Animal Crossing: New Leaf begins to release worldwide, the marketing machine will start to warm up. To start us off, Nintendo of America has launched the mini-site for Animal Crossing: New Leaf with a few new screenshots.
