Tweets #12 and #13: Fortune Cookies

12 years ago 1 Comment

These new tweets are talking about the new Fortune Cookies added in Animal Crossing 3DS. From what I can tell these Fortune Cookies are sold at Timmy and Tommy’s store for the cost of two 3DS Play Coins. (these are the coins you get for walking with the system)

When you open the Fortune Cookie, there is a note (the fortune!) inside. Apparently, what the note says will affect your game in some way.

Tweet #11: Minerals

12 years ago 2 Comments

I’m liking this little surprise! It seems that in addition to the standard fossils, it’ll be possible to excavate various minerals from the ground. In this case, some Emerald can be seen behind the text box in the screenshot. How cool is that?!?

UPDATE: Apparently, they might actually come from rocks instead of the ground like fossils based on the text in the image. It roughly translates to “Hm…? Something came out of the broken rock…?”.

Translation by Saratoga/mattmagician:

Big news! Just now in town, we just excavated an emerald! This picture is proof! Now there’s even more underground!

Tweet #10: Miniature Fossils

12 years ago 1 Comment

Looks like fossils can now be miniaturized if you wish once you have all of the parts. Instead of donating or selling fossils, you can place them on a table or something in a miniature form!

Translation by Saratoga/mattmagician:

Hello! This morning I ran into somebody who found a fossil! They took it to the museum to identify it.♪ When that’s done, you can donate it, sell it, or keep it. I guess it really depends on the person. Recently though, it’s popular to collect all the parts of a dinosaur, and “remake” it into a model figure!

Tweet #8: The Fishing Tournament

12 years ago 1 Comment

After a short break Nintendo is back in action with a new tweet talking about the Fishing Tournament. It runs once a month between the months of October to May. The remaining summer months will most likely have a Bug Catching Tournament instead of the Fishing Tournament.

In the screenshot we can see that the Fishing Tournament has some sort of a tent now with an official closing ceremony! You can see first, second and third pedestals for the winners of the tournament.

Google Translation:

Hmm considered! How did you spend your weekend? In our village, fishing tournament was held on Saturday! I’m fishing tournament will take place during the month every month 10-12 months and 1-5! Can I get a prize and so caught a big fish, ne ~ everyone please join us!
